Long since had love become to me nothing
Yet it was something entirely wrong
But to have been fixed by desperation

And upon now I understand that it is not an issue of love being wrong
But rather the wrong things being called love

Masochistic lies
'Forever' is entertained
By the blinded ones

To absorb the light
Presuppositions consumed
By the darker hours

Love is not folly
But mistaken poetry
Essence forgotten

That it's own glory
By infatuation killed
Is now lost to us

Love;
Not what is called it
But what is it
Is life.
